Softball Recap: Alcovy Comes Up Short

Alcovy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 23-7 to the Apalachee Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 on Thursday.

Alcovy's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Apalachee, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alcovy will square off against Winder-Barrow at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Apalachee, they will take on Oconee County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
