Football Recap: Wesson Skates Past Enterprise with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wesson). They breezed past the Enterprise Yellowjackets to the tune of 48-6 on Friday. Given the Cobras' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 236th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wesson's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.7 points over those games. As for Enterprise, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wesson will welcome Loyd Star at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Cobras 9.2, the Hornets 8.5) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Enterprise, they will face off against Bogue Chitto at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
