Soccer Game Preview: Woodville-Tompkins vs. Liberty County

The Woodville-Tompkins Wolverines are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will face off against the Liberty County Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Woodville-Tompkins is leaving town to face Liberty County after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Woodville-Tompkins fell just short of Groves by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Wolverines couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Liberty County had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on Bryan County with a sharp 10-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Redskins: they've now won four in a row.

Liberty County's offense was hitting Bryan County from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Trey Aiello led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by himself.
