Softball Recap: Elbert County Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Elbert County came out on top against Lincoln County on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Blue Devils walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Red Devils. The win was nothing new for the Blue Devils as they're now sitting on three straight.

Elbert County's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Lincoln County, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elbert County will challenge Stephens County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lincoln County, they will square off against Lakeside at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something the Red Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of.
