Soccer Recap: Avalon Comes Up Short

After soaring to seven goals the game before, Avalon was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They came up short against the Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles, falling 10-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Lancers haven't been shut out since back in December of 2024.

Avalon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-1. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-4-2.

Avalon has already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against Tarbut V' Torah on the 20th. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, they will face off against Vista Meridian at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Capistrano Valley Christian's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three contests.
