Basketball Game Preview: Neshaminy Skins vs. Council Rock South Golden Hawks

The Neshaminy Skins will venture away from home to take on the Council Rock South Golden Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Neshaminy sitting on five straight wins and Council Rock South on 17.

Last Tuesday, Neshaminy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Bensalem, but they still walked away with a 38-32 victory. Given the Skins' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Fighting Owls are ranked 151st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, everything went Council Rock South's way against Great Valley on Thursday as Council Rock South made off with a 61-39 win. The Golden Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 22 points or more this season.

Council Rock South's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.2 points per game. As for Neshaminy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Neshaminy came up short against Council Rock South in their previous meeting back in January, falling 48-42. Can Neshaminy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
