Softball Recap: Millard South Patriots vs. Bellevue West Thunderbirds
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Millard South). They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Bellevue West Thunderbirds on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-2 on Saturday.
Makenzi McCoy looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk).
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Maggie Brower, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those stolen bases were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Witzke, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
