Lincoln Southeast extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-3. They lost 14-1 to the Norfolk Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Sydney Kjeldgaard was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with four runs, three RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Addilynn Foley made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and fired off two home runs, six RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-5. Kacee Harriman was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double.
As for Norfolk, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-3. Considering they have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
On Norfolk's side, they gave Taya Frederick the start and clearly made the right call: she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Eastyn Schroeder, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jenna Allen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lincoln Southeast beat Norfolk by a score of 17-13 later that day.
