Softball Recap: Nowata Takes a Loss

Nowata's last matchup with Caney Valley could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Tuesday. The Ironmen might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-2 to the Trojans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Ironmen have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Nowata's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Caney Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Coming up, Nowata is taking a road trip to square off against Dewey at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. The Ironmen's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldoggers have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Caney Valley, they will be playing at home against Sperry at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Trojans will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
