After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Briggs, Marion-Franklin was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 22-5 margin over the Independence 76ers. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Red Devils considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

With the win, Marion-Franklin broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3. As for Independence, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marion-Franklin will challenge Linden-McKinley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Devils are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Independence, they will face off against Briggs at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
