Basketball Game Preview: Sacramento Waldorf Waves vs. Lincoln Fighting Zebras

The Sacramento Waldorf Waves and the Lincoln Fighting Zebras will round out the year against one another at at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Sacramento Waldorf's defense has only allowed 29.9 points per game this season, so Lincoln's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Sacramento Waldorf is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Highlands 63-7 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Waves considering their 20-point performance the contest before.

Meanwhile, Lincoln posted their closest victory since January 19th on Saturday. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 39-37 win from a begrudging Fighting Zebras squad.

Sacramento Waldorf's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.6 points per game. As for Lincoln, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Sacramento Waldorf was taken down by Lincoln 63-21 in their previous matchup back in January of 2017. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Sacramento Waldorf was down 38-15.
