Basketball Recap: Montgomery Takes a Loss

Montgomery was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 44-36 to the Williamson Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-30 back in December of 2024.

Olivia Meisner was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 18 points and ten boards for Williamson. The dominant performance also gave Meisner a new career-high in steals (eight). Maddy Jones was another key player, putting up eight points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Montgomery's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Williamson, their win bumped their record up to 7-14.

Montgomery does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Williamson, they will venture away from home to take on Cowanesque Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
