Soccer Recap: Mcfarland Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact McFarland can now relate to. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mira Monte Lions on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.

Sophia Cruz and Karina Herrera scored both of McFarland's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

McFarland's defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Mira Monte, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

McFarland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mira Monte, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Mira Monte face off against the Wasco at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wasco will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Mira Monte surely won't give up without a fight.
