Soccer Recap: Orthopaedic Has No Trouble Against USC-MAE

Orthopaedic's game on Wednesday was all tied up 2-2 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. Everything went their way against the USC-MAE Trojans as the Orthopaedic Vipers made off with a 5-2 win. That three goal margin sets a new team best for the Vipers this season.

They hit USC-MAE with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kelsey Martinez (2), Emily Alvarez, Amy Reyes, and Abigail Gonzalez.

Orthopaedic pushed their record up to 5-2-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three contests. As for USC-MAE, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Coincidentally, Orthopaedic and USC-MAE will both be playing Aspire Ollin the next time they take the pitch. USC-MAE will head out to face Aspire Ollin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, while Orthopaedic will head out to face them at 2:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
