Basketball Recap: Rebecca Hueske's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Nebraska Lutheran over Twin River

If Nebraska Lutheran was riding high fresh off their 53-9 takedown of Rocky Mountain Lutheran last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Nebraska Lutheran Knights took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Twin River Titans on Tuesday. The loss was the Knights' first of the season.

Nebraska Lutheran lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Rebecca Hueske, who posted 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Hueske is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Hueske, who had eight points and ten rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Nebraska Lutheran fell to 2-1. As for Twin River, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nebraska Lutheran will head out to take on Giltner at 6:00 p.m. on December 17th. As for Twin River, they will head out on the road to square off against McCool Junction at 6:00 p.m. on December 17th.
