Football Recap: Moon Valley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Moon Valley lost against Buckeye back in October of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rockets took a blow against the Hawks, falling 50-18. The Rockets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-12.

Despite the loss, Moon Valley still got an impressive performance from Darian Butler, who rushed for 129 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries.

Xylin Yancy was a one-man wrecking crew For Buckeye. as he rushed for 115 yards and two TDs on only six carries. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Yancy a new career-high. Salvador Castro was in the mix as well, providing Buckeye with three touchdowns.

This is the second loss in a row for Moon Valley and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Buckeye, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Moon Valley will host Arcadia at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Buckeye, they are taking a road trip to face off against Gila Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th.
