Basketball Recap: Central Mountain Gets the Win

While Central Mountain has struggled at home with six straight losses , that wasn't the case on Monday thanks to Camdyn Weaver. The Wildcats walked away with a 40-33 victory over the South Williamsport Mountaineers with plenty of help from Weaver, who posted 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Central Mountain's points.

South Williamsport lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Carly Quimby, who put up ten points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Moore, who scored 12 points and eight rebounds.

Central Mountain's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for South Williamsport, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.

Central Mountain didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-25 defeat against Shikellamy on the 3rd. As for South Williamsport, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 44-17 loss against Bloomsburg on the 9th.
