Softball Recap: Platte Valley Finds Home Field Redemption Against Woodland Park + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Platte Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 12-8 win over the Woodland Park Panthers on Saturday.

Danica Fosket was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sydney Meyer, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Platte Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Platte Valley now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Woodland Park, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Platte Valley will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Wray/Yuma at 3:00 p.m. As for Woodland Park, they will face off against The Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
