Softball Game Preview: First Presbyterian Day Vikings vs. Stratford Academy Eagles

The First Presbyterian Day Vikings will square off against the Stratford Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. First Presbyterian Day is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.

On Wednesday, First Presbyterian Day got the win against Piedmont Academy by a conclusive 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won 13 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Addison Arnold, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Jessica Jones, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Stratford Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 11-3 to Tattnall Square Academy.

Stratford Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Craddock, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Stratford Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for First Presbyterian Day, their win bumped their record up to 16-3.

First Presbyterian Day took their victory against Stratford Academy in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 13-0 score. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
