Football Recap: Lincoln Railsplitters vs. Jacksonville Crimsons
Lincoln extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-8. They were dealt a 77-0 defeat at the hands of the Jacksonville Crimsons. The Railsplitters lost against the Crimsons in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 51-21 score last time.
As for Jacksonville, they now have a winning record of 5-4. The contest marked their most dominant victory of the season.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Terrion Jackson and Darren Henry. Jackson rushed for 129 yards and a pair of TDs while Henry rushed for 113 yards and two scores. Henry was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 64 yards. Braden Hutchinson was another key player, rushing for 41 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jacksonville, they will challenge Richland County at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 857 yards in their previous games.
