Basketball Recap: Godinez Fundamental Comes Up Short

Godinez Fundamental was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 42-33 to the Valencia Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-44 on January 9th.

When it comes to explaining why Godinez Fundamental lost, don't look at Julissa Mota. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. That's the most boards Mota has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Valeria Arcos, who posted seven points and seven rebounds.

Godinez Fundamental's record is now 13-11. As for Valencia, their win bumped their record up to 19-7.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Calvary Chapel the next time they take the court. Godinez Fundamental will head out to face Calvary Chapel at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Valencia will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
