Football Recap: Andover Central Takes Down Abilene in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Andover Central walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Abilene Cowboys 35-7. The victory continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Cowboys: they've now won three in a row.

Jaxson Green continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 222 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry. His longest rush was for an incredible 92 yards.

Green was just one part of a punishing run game: Andover Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 273 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Andover Central now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Abilene, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 5-4.

Coming up, Andover Central will face off against Kapaun Mt. Carmel on Friday. The Jaguars will need to watch out since the Crusaders have now posted at least 31 points in their last eight games. Abilene does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
