Recap: Annenberg Panthers vs. Foshay Wolverines
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Annenberg Panthers can now relate to. They were dealt a 50-8 defeat at the hands of the Wolverines on Wednesday.
Kelis Jones continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Foshay, scoring 24 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Jones has scored at least a third of Foshay's points. Another player making a difference was Bethany Carranza, who scored 12 points.
Annenberg's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Foshay, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
Annenberg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Foshay's road trip will continue as they head out to face Valor Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 17th. Valor Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
