Football Recap: Atchison Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Atchison had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Ottawa Cyclones, falling 49-7. The Phoenix lost against the Cyclones in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 24-14 score last time.

Atchison and Ottawa will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Phoenix will challenge rival Harmon on Friday. Meanwhile, Ottawa is set to take on their familiar foe Baldwin on Friday.
