Palm Springs had won seven straight road games dating back to last season and Shayla Bates did her part to make it eight on Tuesday. The Indians really took it to the Cathedral City Lions for the full four quarters, racking up a 53-7 victory with plenty of help from Bates, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds. The game was her sixth in a row with at least 16 points.

Miley Flores was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Palm Springs' win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Cathedral City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Palm Springs will square off against Indio at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cathedral City, they will take on Rancho Mirage at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
