Basketball Recap: Sascha Norman Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat North Hills Christian

A well-balanced attack led Rio Lindo Adventist over North Hills Christian in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. The Rio Lindo Adventist Spartans walked away with a 38-25 victory over the North Hills Christian Eagles. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Rio Lindo Adventist's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sascha Norman, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine steals. The dominant performance gave Norman a new career-high in points. Megyn Cuadra also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Rio Lindo Adventist smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Rio Lindo Adventist's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-9. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.8 points per game. As for North Hills Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Coincidentally, Rio Lindo Adventist and North Hills Christian will both be playing Pacific Union College Prep the next time they take the court. North Hills Christian will host Pacific Union College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while Rio Lindo Adventist will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
