Softball Recap: Lee County Extends Winning Streak to Two

Lee County and Lowndes pushed the score to 10-9 the last time they played Lowndes, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Trojans never let the Vikings get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted since October 2, 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Lee County and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Lowndes, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Lee County will be playing at home against Tift County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lowndes, they are taking a road trip to square off against Peach County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 11.2 runs per game this season.
