Baseball Recap: Mitchell County Takes a Loss

Mitchell County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Baconton Charter Blazers, falling 19-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blazers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-0 last Tuesday.

Mitchell County's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Baconton Charter, their win was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Coming up, Mitchell County will face off against Pataula Charter Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Baconton Charter, they will be playing at home against Southwest Georgia STEM Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Baconton Charter's pitching crew has only allowed 1.1 runs per game this season, so Southwest Georgia STEM Charter's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
