Soccer Recap: Mesa Verde Comes Up Short

Mesa Verde was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 5-0 to the Highlands Scots. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in December of 2024.

Mesa Verde's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9-1. As for Highlands, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mesa Verde will welcome Rio Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mesa Verde is facing Rio Vista at the right time seeing as Rio Vista is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Highlands, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Vacaville Christian at 4:00 p.m. Vacaville Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 6 goals per game this season.
