Lewisburg wins going away against South Williamsport

The Lewisburg Green Dragons had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They put the hurt on South Williamsport with a sharp 37-17 win. Given Lewisburg's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Mountaineers are ranked 518th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lewisburg's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7. As for South Williamsport, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Lewisburg will head out on the road to square off against the Seals at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Selinsgrove has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 2. As for South Williamsport, they will be playing at home against the Quakers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Millville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
