Basketball Recap: Wyoming Valley West Takes a Loss

Wyoming Valley West lost against Hazleton Area back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wyoming Valley West Spartans had to suffer through a 75-31 loss at the hands of the Hazleton Area Cougars. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wyoming Valley West's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Hazleton Area, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 21-0.

Wyoming Valley West and Hazleton Area should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Wyoming Valley West (ranked 209th) will meet Berwick (ranked 447th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Hazleton Area will take on Dallas at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday up 166 places (3 vs. 169).
