Softball Game Preview: Central Chargers vs. Dodge County Indians

Central hasn't had much luck against Dodge County recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Chargers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Central barely beat Jefferson County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chargers blew past the Warriors 21-6 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Dodge County came out on top against Washington County on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Indians put the hurt on the Golden Hawks with a sharp 11-2 win.

The team relied heavily on Jimiah Burns, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and one stolen base. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylee Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Dodge County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory got Central back to even at 11-11. As for Dodge County, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.
