Football Recap: Savanna Rebels vs. Godinez Fundamental Grizzlies

Savanna extended their losing streak to eight on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-9. They were outmatched by the Godinez Fundamental Grizzlies and fell 48-13. If the Rebels were looking for revenge after losing 36-18 to the Grizzlies when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Although Savanna took the loss, they still got scores from Andrew Brown and Nate Eich.

As for Godinez Fundamental, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Adrian Ramirez had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 238 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.5 yards per carry, and also picking up 36 receiving yards. Those 238 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Damian Navarro was another major influence, as he rushed for 62 yards and ran in a TD.

Savanna does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Godinez Fundamental, they will face off against Century at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Ramirez and Derek Carrillo.
