Baseball Game Preview: Lambert Longhorns vs. West Forsyth Wolverines

For the second straight game, Lambert will face off against West Forsyth. The Longhorns will venture away from home to face off against the Wolverines at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Lambert is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Lambert had taken West Forsyth down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Longhorns fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 5-4. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 27, 2024, but that streak is no more.

For West Forsyth's part, Ryan Morgan tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Colton Sweat, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Lambert's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for West Forsyth, their win bumped their record up to 15-10.
