Soccer Recap: Sonoraville Takes a Loss

Sonoraville entered their match against Union County on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Sonoraville Phoenix fell just short of the Union County Panthers by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 goals in the game before, the Phoenix couldn't push the score so high this time.

Sonoraville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Union County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Sonoraville will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union County, they will take on North Murray at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Murray will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Union County surely won't give up without a fight.
