Soccer Recap: Calaveras Falls Short of Delhi in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Calaveras can now relate to. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Delhi Hawks who were credited with the victory on Friday. The Delhi Hawks got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Calaveras Red Hawks' two. The Red Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Calaveras' defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Delhi, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Calaveras does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Delhi, they will face off against Hilmar at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hilmar is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.
