Soccer Recap: Thomson Comes Up Short

Thomson was the 1-0 winner over Lincoln County when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Thomson Bulldogs lost 5-1 to the Lincoln County Red Devils on Monday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Dylan Hartfield, which was the first he's scored this season.

Thomson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lincoln County, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Thomson has already played their next matchup (against Laney), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lincoln County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Washington-Wilkes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln County knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Washington-Wilkes likes a good challenge.
