            Basketball Recap: Central Valley Warriors vs. Beaver Bobcats        
        
		
        
        
            Central Valley fought the good fight in their overtime  matchup against Beaver  on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took  a  67-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Beaver Bobcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  56-39  back in January.
 Beaver's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Annsley Baker, who  dropped  a double-double on 20 points and 15  rebounds. Baker's evening made it four games in a row in which  she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Emerson Connelly, who  went 6 of 12  en route to 14  points along with six  boards and three  steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Central Valley and  nudges their season record down to 8-6. As for Beaver, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 13 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record  this season.
 Central Valley will take on Hopewell at 7:30  p.m.  on February 6th. As for Beaver, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  58-29  win against Lincoln Park Performing Arts on the 3rd.
