Baseball Recap: Eastern Takes a Loss

Eastern and Waterford squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Eastern had to settle for second. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 7-2.

Blaise Gilmore was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Hunter Needs, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Waterford, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-8.

As of now, neither Eastern nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
