Football Recap: Cascade Christian Skates Past Klamath Union with Ease

While Cascade Christian put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Klamath Union. The Challengers took their matchup with ease, bagging a 69-0 victory over the Pelicans. The Challengers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 27 points or more this season.

Cascade Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Bryson Walker out in front who rushed for 117 yards and three scores on only five carries, and also picked up 89 receiving yards and one touchdown. Walker's longest reception was for an incredible 89 yards. Another signal caller making a difference was Deryk Farmer, who threw for 214 yards and three TDs on only 13 passes.

Cascade Christian didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Klamath Union to a completion percentage of just 36.8%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from four players: Walker, Caleb Scaglione, Caleb Parker, and Mikey Covey, who each logged one passes deflected. Cascade Christian wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 57.1%.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Cascade Christian, racking up 19 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Scaglione, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

The victory keeps Cascade Christian at an undefeated 6-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 49.0 points this season. As for Klamath Union, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
