Softball Recap: Pickens Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

Pickens put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. They never let the Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-0 back in August.

Pickens has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pickens will host North Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Providence Christian Academy at 10:00 a.m.
