Canyon Hills is 3-0 against Clairemont since December of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Canyon Hills Rattlers will head out to challenge the Clairemont Chieftains at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Canyon Hills has four straight wins, Clairemont has 12 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, Canyon Hills beat Point Loma 29-20.

Meanwhile, Clairemont ended up a good deal behind Coronado on Friday and lost 28-12. While losing is never fun, the Chieftains can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1329th, while the Islanders are ranked 552nd).

Canyon Hills pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.3 points per game. As for Clairemont, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-17.

Everything came up roses for Canyon Hills against Clairemont when the teams last played on January 10th, as the team secured a 48-6 win. In that game, Canyon Hills amassed a halftime lead of 27-4, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
