Basketball Recap: Hoover Takes Down Classical Academy in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Hoover rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 57-40 win over the Classical Academy Caimans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-38 back in December of 2024.

Hoover pushed their record up to 15-13 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30 points. As for Classical Academy, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cardinals take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Escondido Charter will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Hoover surely won't give up without a fight. Classical Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
