Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Angola's Ninth in Last 12 Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carroll, Angola was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Eastside Blazers by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on Monday.

Angola was led to victory by Aspen Sutton and Mady Conrad. Sutton had 20 assists and two aces, while Conrad had ten digs. Sutton is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Kendall VanderWal also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Angola is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for Eastside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-10 record this season.

Angola wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Garrett on the 11th. Eastside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
