Softball Recap: Eaton Wins Going Away Against Meeker + How To Watch

While Eaton put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Meeker. The Reds blew past the Cowboys 24-0. That 24 run margin sets a new team best for the Reds this season.

Kenzie Braddy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Braddy was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Paige Edelmon, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Brooklynn Minne was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

The victory was the third in a row for Eaton, bringing their record up to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.7 runs over those games. As for Meeker, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Eaton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-1 victory against La Junta on the 23rd. As for Meeker, they have also already played their next game, a 17-7 loss against Limon on the 23rd.
