Volleyball Game Preview: Central Catholic Raiders vs. Andover Golden Warriors

Central Catholic hasn't had much luck against Andover recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Raiders will face off against the Golden Warriors at 6:15 p.m. Central Catholic will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Central Catholic hadn't beaten Peabody Veterans Memorial on the road since November 9, 2016 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Raiders put the hurt on the Tanners with a sharp 3-0 win.

While Central Catholic won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Andover made easy work of Dracut on Monday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Andover walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-8, 25-19, 25-16.

Central Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Andover, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.

Central Catholic came out on top in a nail-biter against Andover in their previous matchup back in September, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
