Conestoga Christian suffers fourth straight loss at home

Recap: Conestoga Christian Cougars vs. Linville Hill

This season hasn't been kind to the Conestoga Christian Cougars, who are still winless after their fourth game. They had to suffer through a rough 58-6 loss at the hands of Linville Hill. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Conestoga Christian in their matchups with Linville Hill: they've now lost four in a row.

Linville Hill got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Desiree Smucker out in front who scored 13 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. The game was Smucker's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ellie Rishel, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and six steals.

Conestoga Christian's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.5 points per game. As for Linville Hill, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conestoga Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Dayspring Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Linville Hill will be home for the holidays to greet Coventry Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coventry Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 474th, while Linville Hill is ranked 51st).
