Basketball Game Preview: Napa Grizzlies vs. Sonoma Valley Dragons

Napa is 2-8 against Sonoma Valley since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Napa Grizzlies will square off against the Sonoma Valley Dragons at 4:00 p.m.

Napa is headed into Saturday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 14th straight game on Monday. They lost to Vintage at home by a 36-20 margin.

Meanwhile, Sonoma Valley didn't have too much trouble with Casa Grande on Wednesday as they won 58-42. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 394th, while the Gauchos are ranked 906th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sonoma Valley's win bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Napa, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-20.

Napa was taken down by Sonoma Valley 60-17 in their previous matchup back in January. Can Napa avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
