Football Recap: West Takes a Loss + How To Watch

West lost against Piper back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Chargers were outmatched by the Pirates and fell 52-6. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Roman Byers was his usual excellent self, rushing for 223 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per carry for Piper. Thanks to that big game, Byers is now up to 18 rushing touchdowns on the season.

West's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Piper, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-4.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. West will head out on the road to challenge Salina Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Nasir'E Williams-Brown and Cooper Reves. As for Piper, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Schlagle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
