Softball Recap: Pueblo South Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Pueblo South fell victim to Fruita Monument and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 7-0 to the Wildcats. The Colts were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Bella Sniff spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Pueblo South saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kennedy Camacho-Orona, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Pueblo South's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Fruita Monument, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Pueblo South will welcome Rock Canyon at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Colts' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 14 runs per game this season. As for Fruita Monument, they will challenge Pueblo Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Fruita Monument will need to watch out since Pueblo Central has now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
